Wozniacki through to semis; No. 2 seed ousted in three sets on Day 4 in Bastad

Top seed Caroline Wozniacki had a very tough time against Maria Kirilenko, as the Dane won in close straight sets, while No. 2 seed Dominika Cibulkova didn't reserve a spot in the semifinals in Bastad after losing in three sets.

Wozniacki was struggling against her Russian opponent, but managed to advance to the semis after winning with a score of 75 76(4).

Cibulkova was crushed by Gisela Dulko after Dulko won the first set, lost the second set, and won the third set with a tough score. The final score was 67(5) 63 76(6).

No. 3 seed Flavia Pennetta's results were unlike Cibulkova's, as the Italian ousted Alla Kudryavtseva, 64 62.

No. 7 seed Carla Suarez Navarro was on the loser's list on Thursday, as the Spaniard was demolished by compatriot Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez, 46 63 60.
