Bammer, Schiavone into finals; Bammer conquers title in Prague

After a delayed day of play in Prague, the two finalists competed for the crown after playing their semifinal matches on the same day, and it was No. 2 seed Sybille Bammer who came out on top to beat top seed Francesca Schiavone.

Bammer, who won her semifinal match to No. 3 seed Iveta Benesova 60 75, faced Schiavone after the Italian won her match to qualifier Timea Bacsinszky, 62 46 75.

In the final, Bammer's victory came in straight sets, as she beat Schiavone to take the title at the ECM Prague Open, 76(4) 62, which is her second WTA Tour title of her career.

The head-to-head result between the two is now 2-1 to Bammer. The Austrian won their last meeting in 2008 in Linz.
