No. 1, 2, 4 seeds advance to second round, along with unseeded Czech on Day 1 in Prague

Day 1 in Prague, Czech Republic at the ECM Prague Open was a good one for the top seeds, as the No. 1, 2 and 4 seeds all advanced to the second round, along with an unseeded Czech who ousted a wildcard in tough straight sets.

Top seed Francesca Schiavone didn't have a very tough time against Shahar Peer, and demolished the Israeli with a score of 75 63.

No. 2 seed Sybille Bammer was in a hard position against Tsvetana Pironkova, but eventually won the match, 26 76(2) 75.

No. 4 seed Carla Suarez Navarro also went to three sets, against Alexandra Dulgheru, but escaped the Romanian after winning with a score of 46 63 63.

Barbora Zahlavova Strycova was the unseeded winner on Monday, as she was a bit troubled by wildcard Kristina Kucova, but managed to succeed, 75 64.
