One of two seeds goes through to quarters; wildcard ousts qualifier on Day 4 in Portoroz

Only one of two seeds in the bottom half of the Portoroz draw advanced to the quartefinals, and that was No. 5 seed Sara Errani, who ousted Klara Zakopalova in easy straight sets on Day 4 in Slovenia.

Zakopalova was no challenge for Errani, as the Italian won the match with a score of 61 61.

No. 8 seed Petra Kvitova was the seed that fell, to Camille Pin, 64 64.

The other winners of the day were Alberta Brianti, who defeated Olga Govortsova, 64 61; and wildcard Petra Martic, who bested Vesna Manasieva, 61 63.
