No.1, 2, 5 seed advance on Tuesday in Memphis

On Tuesday in Memphis, Tennessee at the Regions Morgan Keegan Championships & the Cellular South Cup, Caroline Wozniacki, Victoria Azarenka, Michaella Krajicek, and Marina Erakovic advanced to the next round, after the Belarussian won her match in straight sets, and the other two in won their matches in three sets.

Top seed Woznaicki faced Jelena Dokic, to whom she lost in the third round of the Aussie Open. And this time, the Dane was in better form, and won the match, 61 62.

No. 2 seed Azarenka faced Stephanie Cohen-Aloro, and won easily, 62 62.

Krajicek had a tougher time on court than Azarenka, as she faced Kristina Barrois. The player from Netherlands won toughly in three sets, 63 36 76(0).

No. 5 seed Erakovic defeated Melanie Oudin, 46 62 63.

First Round action included Severine Bremond, who won to Kirsten Flipkens 64 60, Stephanie Foretz, who won to Melinda Czink, 26 64 62, and Chanelle Scheepers of South Africa, who beat Lucie Hradecka, 61 57 76(5).
