Cibulkova, Bondarenko sisters through to second round; youngster Keys succeeds on Day 1 in Florida

Both seeds in action who played on Monday won their matches in straight sets, along with 14 year old wildcard Madison Keys, who also won her match in tough straight sets.

Wildcard and No. 3 seed Dominika Cibulkova was the highest seed in action, as she ousted Edina Gallovits, 62 62.

No. 7 seed Alona Bondarenko had a tougher time on court, as she defeated Sania Mirza with a score of 64 63. The Ukranian's sister, unseeded Kateryna Bondarenko also made it through, ousting Barbora Zahlavova Strycova, 76(2) 62.

Keys sent Alla Kudryavtseva flying home, after winning to the Russian 75 64.

The other winner of the day was Patricia Mayr, who won to Ayumi Morita, 63 26 63.
