Kuznetsova captures title after easy straight sets win to Radwanska

No. 6 seed Svetlana Kuznetsova was able to easy beat No. 12 seed Agnieszka Radwanska in straight sets to win the China Open in Beijing, China, making it the Russian's twelfth career title on the Tour, and third this year.

Kuznetsova broke her Polish opponent in the first game of the match, and went cruising from there to a 31 minute set win. The second set was tougher for the Russian, and even though she again broke Radwanska in the first game of the set, both players rallied and fought, but it was Kuznetsova who got the win, with a score of 62 64.

"I guess I just like to play here," said Kuznetsova, who has already booked her place in the season-ending Tour Championship in Doha later this month.

"I have some different luck here and definitely like the atmosphere. The support is great.

"Normally I feel tired at the end of the season but now I feel great."

Radwanska, who had won on each of her three previous final appearances, added: "Svetlana is a great player - she was just too good tonight.

"She had nothing to lose, she's already in Doha so she was very comfortable tonight."

The head-to-head result is 6-3 to Kuznetsova after the win in Beijing.
